As a class we will read the article "Uncovering the Wooly Mammoth."

On your Mammoth dicsovery sheet answer each of the questions on page 62 of your text book.

Your group will be assigned two tasks:

1. Find out something about the wooly mammoth. Use the sites below to get some informtaion about the Mammoth. Write your information on your worksheet.

• What it was like
• Other animals that lived during the time of the Mammoth
• Other kinds of mammoths

2. Read an extinction theory and write a summary. Tell whether you think this is what happen.
